These days my kitchen windowsill real estate is very popular.
Right now bouquets of scallions, basil, flat-leaf parsley and cilantro are hanging out and reminding me to use more fresh herbs in my cooking.
The scallions will keep growing in the water and so I always have a jar on hand.
The other cut herbs will survive for at least10+ days and even longer if you place the jars in the fridge - just remember to tent with a plastic bag. For myself, I just leave them out because I do really appreciate having them in my line of sight so that I remember to use them.
