There is not usually leftover steak at our house but when it does grace the fridge it reappears in one of three ways. Steak salad, steak sandwich or steak pizza.
For the salad, I lay the sliced steak atop a big bowl of mixed baby greens, crumbled blue cheese and a peppery dressing.
For the sandwich, thick crusty bread, tangy mustard, caramelized onions, and melted cheese.
And for the steak pizza, pesto, zucchini, figs, fresh buffalo mozzarella and scallions.
